We trust that everyone will enjoy the event as much as we enjoyed creating the shoe.” And what better way to share the Endorphin Pro+ than with a fun event with a group of awesome runners at a truly great venue. With only minor tweaks to the original Saucony Endorphin Speed, Saucony stay true to the winning formula - delivering everything from a fast, joy-inspiring ride for everyday. “The Endorphin Pro+ delivers even more speed with a more minimal upper that shaves grams off the weight so runners can shave seconds off their time. Josh reviews the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2, an ultra-lightweight and snappy running shoe that excels at speed work and caters to a variety of runners including mild overpronators, neutral foot types and mild supinators. They wanted to go faster and wanted us to help them,” Saucony SVP of global product and innovation Shawn Hoy said in a statement. “Our elite runners told us that they believed that we could make the Endorphin Pro lighter and faster. 6 ounces.Īside from the updated uppers, the Saucony Endorphin Pro+ feature the brand’s Speedroll Technology with a carbon-fiber plate and Pwrrun PB foam cushioning. Its more like a solid training shoe offering a lot of protection and a great grip. The result of the reengineered uppers, Saucony said, is a weight reduction by. Therefore I had to get used to what Endorphin Trail really is. When I first heard that Saucony were launching Endorphin Trail, I thought that finally there would be a fast trail shoe with super foam like the modern road racers. I won´t recommend Endorphin Trail for routes where you know that you will have to pass through small streams and also when you know that its going to rain. BUT (!) when it gets wet, it stays wet - and takes some time to dry. Overall the shoe is very lightweight and extremely comfortable. The carbon fiber plate provides a great toe off with every step. The midsole is really responsive, light but also comfortable. The Endorphin Pro is a great racing and tempo shoe. Its super comfortable and it would probably also have been perfect for an asphalt running shoe. I love this colorway offering from Saucony. It has great protection, is stable and fun. Unique Speedroll technology integrates a beveled geometry throughout the shoe for an overall rolling feeling as. Powered by Saucony’s S-curve carbon fiber plate and poppy PWRUN PB foam, the Endorphin Pro 2 delivers a smooth, responsive ride over roads and tracks. I earlier said, "its pure win-win” which is actually also true as Endorphin Trail is a great trail shoe. The Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 packs next-level speed into a lightweight package. On very technical pieces the shoe can, however, feel a bit clumsy - especially when you are speeding. When there are just small turns and small uneven stretches, the outsole works incredibly well combined with the SpeedRoll-technology.

You are in full control on regular trail but also when the surface is more moist, insecure and slippery. Extract from RTR test of the Saucony Endorphin Speed (160 USD), the mid-range version (the Pro being the race version), comparing to Next : 'The PeBa foam in both feels quite similar in its springiness but it seems, even accounting for the carbon plate in the Next, that the Speeds midsole is softer. There is PWRTRAC-material in the entire outsole with 4,5 mm lugs to provide a great grip in muddy terrain. The pair I've tested has a weight of 295grams in a size EU 42.5 (US9), which I do not think is particularly heavy for a pair of trail shoes.Īnother reason why I feel safe and protected in Endorphin Trail is the outsole.

I've read from other reviews that the shoes are very heavy. The firmer foam makes the shoes feel stable but they are also soft enough to protect your legs. Its good that the shoes are more firm than other Endorphin-shoes. I would really be nervous about possibly twisting my foot, but because they are more firm, its not something I worry about when I do runs in the woods. Regardless, it generally works very well that the shoes are more firm than the road running shoes.Īs you can see in the pictures, the shoes have a rather high midsole (especially for a trail shoe) and if they were as soft as Endorphin Pro or Speed, I don´t know if I would dare using them for trail running. I don´t know if its the net layer around the foam which tightens it. Saucony have in some way made the foam somewhat firmer in the Trail-version. BUT, they are still not quite as soft other shoes with the PWRRUN PB-foam. But in Endorphin Trail it still feels a litlle different. Its the softest and most responsive foam Saucony have made. Its the same foam as Saucony have put into their super carbon shoes, Endorphin Pro and their racer Endorphin Speed. The most special thing about Saucony Endorphin Trail is its PWRRUN PB midsole.
